It was nice to see the old photos. I remember going to the boat works back in 1966 as a guest of your Uncle Clifford "Bud" Kneass. I was married to Bud's oldest daughter Kathy up until her death last year. The only items my wife had from the boat works were a metal name plate from a file cabinet showing a Kneass boat and a Chinese Tapestry that was found in one of the attics of the boat works. I'm glad to know the old buildings are going to be saved.

jeff, regarding my boat, It was built in 1918 as a tug. later in 1947 it was somewhat converted to a fishing boat which is how I found it. The boat at present is my home and is a far cry from the original. I have not restored it, but completely rebuilt it with my own topside design. The hull shape was my attraction to the boat. regards harvey swindall
